Install the gateway on your site · Rebilder Help
Open Console → Connections. It shows your site’s connection status and every way to connect, with the setups for your platform first:
- We run it: the Rebilder app for Shopify, and the plugin for WordPress and WooCommerce. No code.
- Your AI agent installs it: a prompt with your site ID to paste into a coding assistant.
- By hand: visit reporting, Next.js, a Cloudflare Worker, or the Shopify app proxy on your own servers.

If your site runs on Shopify
Install the Rebilder app from Connections. We run the connection and keep it in sync with your products, pages and policies, with no code and no theme edits. Shopify forwards a path on your own domain (/apps/rebilder/…) to Rebilder, and every forwarded request is signature-checked before anything is served.
If a site builder hosts your site
Webflow, Squarespace, Wix and BigCommerce sites connect through a small Cloudflare Worker in front of your domain. It needs a developer and your domain’s DNS on Cloudflare. Nothing changes on the builder itself.
The two halves of a connection
- Serving: AI assistants that ask for it get the clean version of your pages. This works without an API key.
- Reporting: the connection sends a short record of each request to Rebilder, using your site’s API key. These records fill AI visits and the Overview.
The Shopify app and the WordPress plugin do both. With a code install, ask your developer to set up both, because a site can serve AI assistants while AI visits stays empty. Turn on visit reporting on Connections has the steps.
What to expect when it’s live
- Nothing changes for people visiting your site.
- Google and other search engines keep getting your normal pages.
- AI assistants that ask for markdown get a compact text version of the same page, with the same prices, availability and policies.
- Agent connection shows serving and event reporting separately. Serving verified means the latest check got the clean version; Events arriving means requests are reaching your Console. Check now refreshes the serving check.
